Education
I grew up in the small town of Montrose, MI, where I attended all of my grade school. After my high school graduation, I moved to the west side of Michigan to attend Ferris State University. There I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, with minors in Mathematics and Integrated Science. Shortly after I began teaching, my thirst for knowledge continued to grow, so I decided on attending Michigan State University to earn a Master of Science in Education. My concentration at MSU was in P-12 and Postsecondary School Leadership.

Hi there! I believe the best way to teach my students is for them to know and trust me; therefore, I pride myself on being an open book! I was married last year to my wonderful husband, Kevin, and together we enjoy the company of our furbaby, Charlie. Charlie is an adorable (albeit energetic) chocolate lab, and he definitely keeps us busy. We enjoy going camping, seeing new movies, visiting with family and friends, and playing all sorts of board games and card games. Our favorites are "Life" and the ever-popular, Michigan-famous "Euchre." Because of my love of games, I am always making games out of learning for my students!

I have been working with New Lothrop Area Public Schools since I earned my teaching certificate. I began with teaching fifth and sixth grade - mostly math - for the first four years. I will now be in my second year teaching third grade, and I'm loving every minute of it!
